What is "The Master Gardeners Speakers Bureau"?
... It is a team of volunteers willing to speak publicly on behalf of the Master Gardeners Volunteer Association. These volunteers go out into the community and educate the public on a wide range of gardening topics. Topics include such things as: (1) School Gardens; (2) Herbs & Art; (3) Perennials & Annuals; (4) Growing Fruits & Vegetables for the Table; (5) Soil Structures; (6) Composting; (7) Water Conservation.

2011 Speakers Bureau - Activities and Results:
During the 2011 calendar year, 22 Union County Master Gardener Volunteers, with the assistance of Union County Agents, Jeff Rieves and Laura Byrd, presented 45 times to schools and community groups on 36 different dates. These presentations resulted in reaching 1884 people face-to-face!
