Join the Union County Extension Master Gardeners and the Heritage Festival Planning Committee for the 5th Annual Union County Heritage Festival and Wild Turkey 5K! The festival is free and we have plenty of parking!
The Heritage Festival is dedicated to the celebration and education of the natural, cultural, and historical heritage of Union County, NC.
Our theme this year is “Go Native!” to focus on the importance of using native plants, caring for native wildlife, our land and waterways, as well as education of and respect for the people who inhabited the area, we now know as Union County, before us.
There will be live entertainment, great food, a vendor fair, exhibitors, games, educational and creative activities for kids, free talks, heritage arts demonstrations, fabulous raffle prizes, cooking demonstrations and more!
Changing the date of the Heritage Festival has offered us the opportunity to collaborate this year with the Union County 4-H Expo! The 4-H has the goal of cultivating the next generation of leaders and the Expo will feature club displays, a horse show, livestock show, rabbit, poultry and duck shows, a creative arts exhibit, a bake off, safety demonstrations and a talent showcase.
For more information please call: 704-283-3822 or email: email@example.com.
We are thrilled to announce that Crystal Fountains and 2 Yukes, Banjo & a Box will be playing during the Festival.
Get ready for amazing presentations from Chef Ross Purple, who will teach us how to make perfect risotto every time and Brenden McGlinchey from the North Carolina Falconry Guild will walk through the process of trapping, training, and hunting with a red-tail hawk.
