Q: Can I plant trees this spring? I'm looking at planting an edible crabapple and a fringe tree.4/17/2013
We would recommend you wait until the fall to plant. Although the trees may survive this spring, our summers can be extremely hot and dry. They would require a lot of hand watering. Fall is an optimum time to plant them because it gives them time to establish their root systems before the winter sets in.
