Join fellow garden enthusiasts, experts and novices alike for a garden design symposium on Saturday February 8th. This event is presented by NC Extension and the Extension Master Gardener   Volunteer Association of Union County at the Union County Agricultural and Event Center, 3230 Presson Road, Monroe, NC.

 

​Grow your knowledge and realize your garden dreams with presentations from acclaimed landscape designers Jay Sifford and Preston Montague along with a special lunch and learn presentation with Mary Roberts of Windcrest Farm. The day will also include vendors and exhibitors.​ This event offers an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge, network with like-minded individuals, and gain inspiration for your garden projects.

  • Keynote presentation by Preston Montague, Conservation Gardening in the Residential Landscape

  • Keynote presentation by Jay Sifford, The Stroll Garden, The Nuts and Bolts, The Magic and Metaphor

  • Breakout Sessions -- Dry Creek Beds: How to Manage Storm Water Beautifully and Approaches to Conservation Gardening with Native Plants
